Ejeda Hospital Nutrition Project
“...share your food with the hungry...give clothes to those who have nothing to wear.” (Isaiah 58:7).
Introduction:
Southern Madagascar has suffered from food shortages. The situation is due to the combined effects of locust invasion and drought. The majority of the population are eating only ones a day. This situation can lead especially the patients at risk of the malnutrition that is observed frequently in the Hospital.
Activities reports:
The Ezeda Hospital Nutrition program has a significant effect on the patients. In Madagascar the family of the patient normally provides the food for those hospitalized. Many families are too poor or as a result of drought conditions are unable to provide the food for their loved ones. Without proper nutrition, the patients are not able to get well. This Nutrition Project will provide good to the patients and help them to be restored to physical health. The patients are provided with rice and meat, the main stays of their daily diet.
In addition, as we reach out with the love of Jesus Christ with food for their bodies, we also share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all who come to the hospital.
